Age policy

7th Heaven Smoke Shop sells products that may only be sold to adults aged 21 and older.

When we check

The question when you arrive on this website is a courtesy, not a check. For pickup, the check that counts happens in store: we look at a valid government-issued photo ID before we hand over any order that contains an age-restricted product.

For delivery, you are checked twice. Before the order is placed, our ID provider compares a photo of your government ID with a selfie and reads your date of birth from the ID. With an account this is done once; as a guest, for every delivery order. Then the driver checks your photo ID and takes your signature at the door, and brings the order back to the shop if nobody 21 or older can show one.

If we can't verify your age

We won't hand the order over, and the order is cancelled. For pickup nothing is charged, because you pay at pickup; for delivery the hold on your card is released.

What we keep

We record that an ID was checked, when, by whom or by which provider, the provider's reference and whether you were old enough. We don't keep your ID, its photos, your selfie, your date of birth or your document number: the ID provider holds the photos under its own retention terms, so the check can be produced if we are ever audited.
